Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE]

Placeholder content. This page is scaffolding only — replace it with terms drafted or reviewed by a qualified lawyer before going live. Payment platforms carry real regulatory and liability exposure; this text is not legal advice.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Payment Platform ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Payment Platform provides infrastructure for merchants to accept payments and settle proceeds on-chain, including optional NFT issuance to buyers.

3. Merchant obligations

Merchants are responsible for the legality of goods/services sold, for complying with all applicable tax, consumer protection, and financial regulations in their jurisdiction, and for the accuracy of information provided during account setup.

4. Fees

Fees are as agreed between the merchant and Payment Platform and are deducted automatically as part of on-chain settlement.

5. Blockchain transactions are irreversible

Payments settled through the Service are executed as blockchain transactions and, once confirmed, cannot be reversed by Payment Platform. Merchants and buyers should confirm all transaction details before completing a purchase.

6. Limitation of liability

[Placeholder — standard limitation-of-liability language should be drafted with counsel, addressing blockchain-specific risks such as network congestion, smart contract risk, and third-party payment processor availability.]

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
